tarot cards

Why Tarot is not a fortune telling?

We say fortune telling; we are so used to it. But it is not!

It is referred to as “Tarot reading” in universal languages. Tarot reading. Its full translation is “Tarot interpretation”.

The story of card symbols, which were first seen on Chinese coins in the 13th century, to the present day, tells about something more than fortune telling: that the tarot cards still remain a mystery. If this were a fortune telling, it would not contain mystery, it would be a flashing card game in a short time where we surrender ourselves to the feelings of the opener and the interaction with the interpreter.

It didn’t!

The great mysticists and spiritual societies understood the profound meaning of cards and studied them for centuries. Every true commentator drew a new set of cards, because this was an essential task. Each expert commentator took care not to offend the client, not to demoralize him or create anxiety for the future, because the cards made the right suggestions for a good future. One of the tasks of the commentator was to practice the art of predicting not the painful truth of the future, but also the ways of dealing with that truth and the good times. Tarot interpretation was an art. Tarot cards were advisors.

There are many data that distinguish Tarot from fortune telling.

And “If the last tarot card does not open, it will be your destiny!” Its fallacy is a phenomenon invented by fortune tellers. Tarot cards are closely related to astrological cycles.
