A cut from the book of the world’s most famous tarot expert, Hajo Banzhaf:
Obviously, this phenomenon cannot be explained so satisfactorily. However, there are three interesting views on how tarot cards give us meaningful answers.
- The time-space relation of the unconscious is different from our consciousness and can navigate the extreme limits of the present time as many of us experience in our future-based dreams and intution. The language of consciousness consists of words, and the unconscious speaks in pictures. We can think of tarot cards as the picture language of our soul, the alphabet that describes how the unconscious sees the subject. The only thing that consciousness has to do to understand the message is to learn the language of the unconscious.
When a seeker works with a tarot deck, is actively calling forth a synchronicity in order to understand his or her current stage of spiritual growth. The querent engages with ever increasing levels of awareness and creativity, ultimately leading to an understanding of the power of the human will. Because she/he is aware of both the meaning of the tarot card as well as the spiritual law through which it reveals its message. - The second view is based on the phenomenon C.G.Jung calls synchronicity. What is at stake here is the observation that although there is no apparent common cause, two events occurring at the same time are significantly and meaningfully connected to each other. So
- We are used to measuring time in terms of quantity. However, time has another qualitative dimension that we define as the ‘right moment’. Based on this view, every moment has a unique characteristic that manifests itself in different dimensions.
Tarot is not just fortune telling, it’s the gateway to collective consciousness.
It has been researched for years and used together with astrology.
